Levels of Six Sigma
Certification The Six Sigma hierarchy is arranged according to expertise from the beginner Yellow Belt to the Master Black Belt, Champions, and Deployment Leader. Six Sigma certification courses are available to assist you in obtaining any level of expertise within the system. Yellow Belt and Green Belt certification classes provide employees with a wider understanding of the Six Sigma system. This includes its history, methods, and objectives. The foundation of Six Sigma in any business is The Yellow and Green Belts. They are the very ones who will gather data, provide support for improvement plans, identify measurement scales, and make easy improvements. The goal of the Yellow and Green belts is to think in a data-driven, cause-and-effect manner, then apply this knowledge to their work areas. Black Belt and (MBB) Master Black Belt certification classes last approximately a month. It will assist individuals to become Six Sigma experts. Black Belts and Master Black Belts are the hands on experts who are responsible for training, and mentoring other Black Belts, Green Belts, and Yellow Belts. They translate the design into the concrete plans for all Six Sigma projects. Six Sigma Champions are the ones responsible for developing a plan for transforming their company into Six Sigma thinking. They are responsible for ensuring the success of the Black Belts, Green Belts, and Yellow Belts. The Champions duties are to identify, select, prioritize, and assign projects. In major corporation where there maybe several business unites, there can be a Senior Champion, as well as department Champions. The single most important individual is the Six Sigma deployment leader. This person is responsible for the deployment process. They are often a senior member of management who reports directly to the corporate-level responsible for launching and maintaining Six Sigma. The deployment leader is held responsible for all results of Six Sigma, this includes all successes as well as failures. They are the driving force behind Six Sigma, the person with the vision and the mission of implementing and maintaining Six Sigma in the corporation. It is the goal of the deployment leader to create, and maintain the passion of his/ her employees to the commitment of Six Sigma goals.
