Achieving Six Sigma Six Sigma Methodology  What is Six Sigma? Overview of Six Sigma

Six Sigma Academy

The Six Sigma Academy was founded in 1994, by Mikel Harry and Richard Schroeder in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Philip Crosby published a book in 1979 called Quality is Free. Several individuals have built onto Crosby's works to develop Six Sigma methodology to what it is today, including the Six Sigma Academy founders Harry and Schroeder. Mikel Harry was one of Motorola's architects responsible for the companies turnaround in the `80s. He assisted in the initiation of the plan, which reduced errors by 40% and a 60% reduction in the process cost.

Several other companies offer Six Sigma training programs. Many offer either onsite training, or online training. The choice of which is right for you and your employees will depend on time restraints and budget.
